Can I use this for espresso?
Yes. The adjustable ceramic burrs let you grind for espresso, filter or cold brew - just dial in your coarseness and press start. It's a genuine step up from manual grinding without the bulk or cost of a bench grinder.

Who is it best for?
Occasional use - up to about 2 cups a day - and life on the go: travel, camping, the office, or a no-fuss backup at home. If you're a high-volume brewer pulling two or more cups daily, we'd point you to one of our dedicated home grinders instead.

What's the bean capacity?
25g per fill - enough for a standard single brew at a time.

How is it powered, and how long does a charge last?
It's rechargeable via USB-C, so there's no power outlet or cord required in use - charge it up and grind anywhere. A full charge is good for roughly 4 single-cup grinds.

What are the burrs made of?
Adjustable ceramic burrs - consistent, durable and low-heat.

How do I clean it?
It's designed for simplicity: brush out the burr chamber and catch cup between uses, with an occasional deeper clean. Easy to clean, easy to live with.

Should have done this year's ago

I have been using a Breville DB for years, on my second one. Have always been able to get good coffees but had to constantly fiddle with grind and dose to stop channelling. Recently nothing I tried seemed to work. As soon as I replaced the stock diffuser and screen with this, every shot is perfect. Had to reduce the dose slightly, but every shot is way more balanced without anywhere near the amount of adjustment I used to have to do.
Highly recommended this and I really should have done this year's ago. For the price it is an absolute bargain.

Noticed the extraction on my Breville Dual Boiler wasn't pouring equally from the twin portafilter and discovered the plastic diffusion plate had a large crack so ordered a new plate, screen and seal. Bottomless portafilter

Instantly improved shots! Then decided to upgrade shower screen and get a magnetic dose collar and needles to prevent channeling and I wish I did it years ago. If you’re going to spend decent cash on a machine these are a small further cost for big reward.

Coffee Nerd, is it worth your money?

I make the answer simple, yes it is. I bought the bottomless portafilter with the aluminium rosewood handle and the high diffusion espresso shower screen, both for the Breville Express machine. I am still trialling the product to perfect my coffee but having these items definately made my coffee machine produce a lot better coffee with plenty of crema on my black coffee. The service and information I got from the company is also top of the range. I strongly recommend these products. So if you are not sure, go for it, you wont be disappointed.
