What kind of coffee works best for pour over?

How do I clean the kit?
The stainless steel filter and glass jug can be rinsed with warm water after each use. The manual grinder comes with a small cleaning brush included in the kit. All components are hand-wash recommended.

Can I use an electric kettle instead of the gooseneck?

You can, but the gooseneck kettle is worth using - the narrow spout gives you much more control over your pour speed and direction, which directly affects extraction quality. It's one of the key tools that separates a good pour over from a great one.
